We must stand together if we are to see anything come out of our efforts- we achieve NOTHING by fighting each other for title of "True Revolutionary."
It is disheartening to see so much petty attacking happening in advance of the massive global spotlight coming to Bombay in another month. While we should be causing the ruling elite to be quaking in their designer boots, we are instead turning against each other and allowing our attention to turn away from the task at hand: radical change towards true democracy on a global scale.
In the USA we call this infighting COINTELPRO... or just plain partisan absurdity.
COINTELPRO was a nefarious FBI "counter intelligence program" which used a broad campaign of dirty tricks- ranging from spreading lies and misinformation all the way to assasination- against the Black Panthers and other revolutionary formations in the '60's and 70's. Despite the official line that COINTELPRO is no longer active, activists believe that it, or even more sinister programs evolved from it, are alive and well today. One of the classic tactics used to hobble strong movements is to flood the community with all sorts of sectarian infighting, causing people to be unsure about whom to trust, and weakening what ought to be united masses against the common enemies of capital and the oppressive state.
Either this is what is happening here, or there is a serious problem in India of many groups claiming exclusive title to the mantle of Revolution, and causing an unfortunate weakening of our collective strength at a time when we are facing the strongest assault against human dignity in recent memory from the forces of domination and greed.
Perhaps the people struggling to find alternatives to the admittedly liberal-tending WSF 'leadership' should spend their time instead to seek common ground and develop solidarity with each other. There are billions of comrades around the world struggling for their lives while we bicker about who is more revolutionary.
