You are right... The `Clemenceau`, this old french war ship, is a dangerous minefield for workers; it`s why the french gouvernment has choiced an harbour in India for its destruction...
For french gouvernment, India, Pakistan, Bengladesh are rubbish country; It`s not a negligence but a kind of `mepris` of labourer.

I am shame to be French.

Why so much fuss about Clemenceau ? mainly when India accepts everyday non cleaned and non asbestos free foreign ships in its Alang yards ?
Clemenceau is the first ship that comes to India with prior decontamination of all dangerous absbestos. The few remaining is part of other material and cannot be removed without dismantling. All measures have apparently been taken in order to preseve health and environment.
As you may know, there is in Europe no ship dismantling yard but also no market for scrap, no market for recycling.
Why condemning a pilot project which is good for India and Indian workers ? May be it is Greenpeace interest to have this project not to succeed so that other ships can keep coming freely as today with their absetos.
The Clemenceau project might not be 100 % good but event it were 50 % good it is better than the 0% which is presently done in India for asbestos aboard ships.
One who knows a bit about ships, navy and scrapping industry is very surprised about so many liars told about that project...
