An Indian Muslim artist M.F. Hussein is in the habit of making paintings of Hindu Gods and Goddesses in nude form which are very, very obscene and offensive to general public but especially to Hindus. Hussein has arranged many exhibitions of his obscene paintings in India and in many other countries of the world. Recently Hussein has arranged one exhibition at India House, London, England
The Government of India is so scared of its minorities of saying anything that may hurt 'minority' sentiments that it will swallow any insults to the majority Hindu community without so much as battling an eyelid. The Times of India (24 May, 2006) carried a story of an exhibition held in Asia House in London of two nude portrayals of Hindu goddesses drawn by M.F. Hussein – and the shocking thing is that the exhibition was inaugurated by none else than India's High Commissioner, Kamlesh Sharma, who is probably telling himself and the world how liberal Hindus are and how forgiving even when their gods and goddesses are mocked and insulted. But the Hindu Form of Britain, an umbrella group that claims 270 Hindu organizations as members, claims that its Hindu members have felt deeply hurt at the humiliation hurled at them. The Secretary General of the Forum, Ramesh Kallidai told Times of India: "In the case of Da Vinci Code, the authorities slapped an 'A' certificate. When it came to the Prophet's cartoons, P.M. Man Mohan Singh personally condemned them. India was one of the first to ban Rushdie's book, The Satanic Verses. Why should artistic freedom only be enjoyed by those who hurt and insult Hindus?" Good question. The answer is that Hindus are scared to be dismissed by the west as 'communal'. They will suffer any kicks to their bottoms; accept any insults to their gods and religion to get a pat on their back for being 'secular'.
We Hindus protested against the Asia House gallery because we object to its decision to exhibit paintings of Hindu goddesses engaged in acts of bestiality. Many pseudo secular and anti-Hindus seem to think such images can be found in Hindu temples, but, we Hindus dispute this and challenge all such people to produce evidence. More seriously, some people accuse us of raising this issue because of MF Hussein’s religion. This is completely baseless; we Hindus are proud of our interfaith work and have spoken on radio with Muslim leaders to support their efforts to end attempts to demonize their community
The Hindu community have been upset and offended by paintings which depict Hindu Goddesses engaged in acts of bestiality or sex with animals. We Hindus are also offended at his depiction of Draupadi as naked as in Hindu tradition it is Lord Krishna who saves her modesty in the Mahabharata. It is very unfortunate that many journalists and pseudo secular people fail to bring out these points and instead portray all Hindus who oppose the abuse of Artistic freedom as bigots and fundamentalists.
These people claim that Husain is only following something that is a “part of the Indian tradition for 5,000 years”. . But we Hindus feel that this is inaccurate as there are not any Hindu temples where Goddesses take part in bestiality or other obscene sexual acts. In any case, this is a selective misrepresentation of Hinduism and there is no tradition within Hinduism of artists representing the Goddess for material gain.
These people also fail to acknowledge the right of the Hindu community to hold peaceful protests when our religion and culture are abused and defamed. The right to peaceful protest is integral to the functioning in any healthy democratic democracy. Following this logic, the thousands of anti-war protesters must also be bigots and fundamentalists.
The wider problem is that this is not the first case of defamation against Hindus and Hinduism and it is something that the Hindu community has been concerned about for a long time and it is this defamation that leads to persecution of Hindus elsewhere in the world. It also creates the atmosphere in the West where the media and public becomes apathetic, ignorant and indifferent to the persecution and discrimination of Hindus and Hinduism across the world
Over the past, Muslim fundamentalists around the world have engaged in angry street protests, violence, looting, bombing and arson over a series of cartoons published in a Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten. Radical Muslims have organized demonstrations around the world demanding an apology from the Danish government. Denmark's Prime Minister defended the paper's right to publish the cartoons on free-speech grounds. In a show of solidarity with Jyllands-Posten, newspapers throughout Europe ran the cartoons. Jihadi Muslims began rioting, looting, bombing, burning buses and Embassies in Pakistan, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Indonesia, India,
Iran and Saudi Arabia. In Libya and Lebanon, radical Muslims torched Danish, Norwegian and Italian Consulates. Several people were killed in Libya. In India, a Muslim state Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yakub Quereshi offered 10 million dollars for any one who can behead the cartoonist. In Hyderabad, India several Hindu temples were attacked. In Iran, the fundamentalist Islamic government offered prizes for a cartoon contest for drawing anti-Jewish cartoons. The cartoon crisis, most certainly is a small issue, which has been blown up by Jihadi Muslims. As usual, the phony liberals and Communist Fascists have come up with some grotesque root cause theories of Islamist violence. Their hidden agenda is to regulate freedom of expression and condone Jihadi carnage on the streets. Pseudo liberals and leftists who suffer from cognitive disorder should realize that civilized societies couldn't function with phony, meaningless root cause theories. To blame the cartoonist is to ignore the true nature of Islam and its fundamentalist ideology. The heart of the issue is the destructive, dysfunctional, dualistic, non-compromising belief system that binds Muslims around the world. Motivates and pre-planned crimes against free society is an outgrowth of the philosophy of intolerance, hostility and oppression inherent in Islamic dogma and the harsh teaching in the Quran. The terror tactics, intimidation, violence and street mayhem are not unprecedented in Islamic history. In Surah 2:191, Allah orders beheading, torturing, kidnapping, hijacking, bombing, and violence are not alien to Jihadi Muslims.
All our statements show we have always maintained we are not anti-art. After all, where else can we find the range of expression we find in Hindu literature, poetry, paintings, dance, music, sculpture, drama, spiritual epics, architecture, costumes and jewellery. But when we see Hindu imagery and symbolism adorning toilet seats, bikinis, magazine covers etc, it becomes easier to see why so many people in the media and politics are ignorant and apathetic when it comes to highlighting the plight of Hindus in countries such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Singapore, in Muslim majority countries and in parts of India.
Hindus have been murdered, disgraced, and humbled, by both Islam and Christianity. There has got be certain logic in Hindu tolerance. At some point in time, the Hindu has to say:
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
Hindus have to get tough with both Islam and Christianity
"A warrior relaxes and abandons himself; he fears nothing. Only then will the powers that guide human destiny open the road for a warrior and aid him. Only then...."
Those supporting the nude paintings of Hindu goddesses by Hussein should
answer in the affirmative the following question:
"Will he accept an exhibition of a nude painting of their beloved ones?
I will be very much appreciated if these Art traders dare to make of nude paintings of their beloved ones and what to say of Mohammad Prophet and exhibit in the name of art.
If all these pseudo secular and anti-Hindu personalities are interested in viewing the nudes images on whom millions have faith, in the name of art then they are not lover of art rather they are perverted individuals have no respect for any religion what to say about Hindu. They must understand that faith, right or wrong, needs no argument. Does Hussein dare to make pictures of Prophet Mohammad, Christ in similar vain? It will be very much appreciate if this message can be communicated to all these so called art lovers.
Artists like MF Hussein denigrate Hindu religion
As long as the atrocious behavior pattern of MF Hussein is not analyzed psychologically, Hindus will not be able to control the enormous damage he is doing to Hindus and Bharatiya culture. In law a judge looks for the intentions of a criminal as the intentions are the pointers to the crime. To treat MF Hussein as an artist is like leaving a mad canine with a nice collar round its neck, absolving him of his crime.
There are three aspects of Hussein’s psychology which are behind his motivation for the criminal acts directed particularly at the Hindus and their culture. These are: 1. Fanatical Mindset 2. Inferiority complex and 3. Colonial duplicity
Fanatical Mindset: Daily Asian Age of M J Akbar in Feb, 03 reproduced an article from The Dawn of Karachi written by one probably Mr. Cowasjee. The article dealt with the teachings in the terrorist outfits that they should attack and kill Kaffirs It explained that when a Kafir is attacked he is terror stricken, because he is a coward, and the Muslims should therefore not hesitate to kill kafirs. The central idea is that the Kafir is an easy prey like a goat to a Tiger! It seems it is exactly the same feelings which all Muslims have of non-Muslims what MF Hussein feels in his mind and is getting bolder and bolder as teachings of Islam is taught in the Madrasas.
Here we should also see why MF Hussein called the picture Bharat Mata and not India or South Asia.
Obviously he is aware of and is gloating over the fact that India is divided in two parts. The urban, English educated pseudo secular Indians and the rural, regional language fans, the Bharatiyas. It is these masses whom he is insulting exactly like the Muslims, who destroyed the temples and the Hindu culture. Sad to say that he is extraordinary successful in his mission as hardly anyone bothers.
The communists hate our Hindu Gods and religion anyway. The Muslim would rather see all temples desecrated if they could. They probably feel unexpressed that there are too many temples left still after two centuries of demolition. Christians call Hindus as idol worshippers, Christians want that Hindus should worship idol of Jesus or of Mother Mary. The modern Hindu of urban origin considers himself as an international citizen.
Inferiority complex: Now turn to the other psychological motivations. It is well known that most converted Muslims were from the lower strata of society, probably often converted by force. As new converts they were either slaves, or conscript laborer like camp followers etc. Slowly they learnt to fawn over their new masters and turn their hostility towards their erstwhile co-religionists, the Hindus, for not protecting them or abonding them. In any case the helpless convert has to learn to reassert his status in the new society and get over the feelings that arose at the time of conversion and alienation from his kith and kin. This is what MF Hussein does by collectively hitting back at his erstwhile Hindu Religious background. He has to prove to himself that he is purest of the pure Muslims. Any wonder that no Muslim condemned his despicable act and by their silence encourage him and strength his hands.
Colonial legacy: Towards 1930s a large Muslim component 95% voted for Pakistan. But due to various factors, the Muslims stayed back in Bharat. How to continue the war that they left when Aurangzeb died, how to continue the colonial legacy of divide and somehow establish back the Muslim rule if not the British Rule? The Man Mohan Singh’s try to re establish the credibility of the colonial thug. The MF Hussein’s deride and divides the Hindu society vertically and weakens it to their utmost.
That is the motive force behind this Most Fanatical Hussein insulting Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Needless to say he cannot name them after Muslim or Christian Gods or Goddesses.
When Muslim and Christian religious feelings are hurt, Bharatiya govt. comes to their rescue but when Hindu religious feelings are hurt, the Bharatiya Govt. neither protests nor comes for help to such incidence. Hindus have to fight their case by themselves.
WE Hindus will add some thing more here that we will very much appreciate if these Art traders dare to make nude paintings of their beloved ones and what to say of Mohammad Prophet and exhibit in the name of art.
Further to the above comments. We understand that the media in the UK did not publish the Mohammed cartoons as a deliberate decision. And we also understand that no academics (or people like Lord Meghnad Desai) protested about the decision. In fact, it is possible that they would be all applauding the decision of the media.

Now, Jatinji is a famous artist. And he has meekly accepted clothing nudes. While he will uphold the 'right' of Hussein to paint Hindu goddesses in nude.
On the issue of the Bhetzi Punjabi play. What the Sikhs objected was to show a rape scene within a Gurudwara as a backdrop - not to the rape scene itself.
