http://www.myasa.com/kashmirmonitor/index.html The Kashmir Monitor, linked with a legal support group
for "disappeared" people in Kashmir, seems to have
had its web page suppressed. Or am I just being
paranoid?
Google gives
http://www.myasa.com/kashmirmonitor/index.html as the best web page for a search on "kashmir monitor".
It ranks the same page 7th for a search simply on
"kashmir".
The following site also recommends the Kashmir
Monitor site:
http://www.incore.ulst.ac.uk/cds/countries/kashmir.html > The Kashmir Monitor
> Updated regularly, this site offers a variety of
> news items, opinions, and editorials. An archive
> facility is not yet available, however, it is
> possible to join the monitor mailing list online.

http://www.myasa.com/kashmirmonitor/index.html Anyone know if the site really *was* censored?
E.g. under UK "anti-terrorist" legislation???
Here is one claim that a Kashmiri site *has* been
censored. The site is that of what is probably
the majority political organisation in the Indian
controlled part of Kashmir:
http://www.ummah.org.uk/kashmir/kashonet/index.htm > All Party Hurriyet (Freedom) Conference - the
> main pro-Freedom organisation in Jammu &
> Kashmir. The oppressive restrictions placed on
> the APHC mean that Internet services have been
> withdrawn by Indian authorities.
To end on a positive note:
http://www.jammu-kashmir.com/aboutus/aboutus.html > Jammu-Kashmir.Com is the result of months of
> intense discussions by Kashmiris in India, USA
> and London, and the feeling that a forum is
> required to tell the complete truth about the
> situation in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. The
