| Put the Breaking Story on the Front page! Second wave of Riots re Ayodha
By Indian 02/03/2002 At 03:49 The current national emergency in India is threatening to cause loss of life in the thousands. Riots of this nature have not occured in India since the destruction of the Babri Masjid by Hindi extremists. Current reports show 300 people dead, with the number expected to rapidly rise as the police cannot control the clashing mobs. Why isn't this breaking story on the front page?
Death tolls are reported to be 300+ and rapidly rising.
Ahmedabad and the Gujarat regions are the worst effected. Mobs are clashing against one another and the hundreds of police officers are not able the stop it.
The entire country of India was shut down on Friday to stop a repeat of the massacres the occurred after extremist Hindus tore down Babri Masjid (a mosque where these extremist Hindu's claim the Hindu god Ram was born).
Thousands of people died in those clashes.
Again, why isn't this story on the frontpage of india.indymedia.org? Why isnt it on the front page of www.indymedia.org? Where are the editors?!

I wonder who the people behind the India Indymedia IMC are anyway? They sound like a bunch of Westernized "liberals" who mimic whatever their well-to-do "activist" friends in the First World say. I wonder if the Indymedia IMC is even actually based in India?
As for the main www.indymedia.org IMC and webpage. They are a goddamned joke. They are an American based, American controlled entity--and reflect the twisted agenda of Americans as such.

The BJP is a political party, presently in central government (in coalition). Prime minister Vajpayee proudly says that he is a member of the RSS. But the problem is that one of them is the prime minister, who has not yet offered to go to prison and accept to be tried for association with a terrorist organisation.
