| The Children of Gujrat A Poem By Ayub Khan 20/04/2002 At 07:56 Poem on the Children of Gujrat The Children of Gujarat by Ayub Khan Their eyes are red full of blood They have just witnessed a flood of blood Mothers & sisters, cousins & aunts Raped, murdered, smashed & hacked Fathers & uncles, friends & brothers Killed,mutilated, smashed & hacked Broken doors, strewned glass, tumbled pots Toys broken, stomped and cracked Hunger & mobs stalk their days Darkness & stench of the burning flesh haunt their nights These is the plight of the children of Gujarat Innocent, little children of Gujarat
