Diplomatic links have been practically snapped.There is talk of crossing the LOC to liquidate terrorist camps. This can cause war with unpredictable consequences.
According to experts almost all the terrorists operating in Kashmir are foreign nationals.India is within its rights to tale strong action against them, if they are caught and identified.
A few thousand innocents get killed earch year.
India should enact emegency legislation for speedy trial of the infiltrators and award of mandatory Capital punishment to those found to be illegal entrants or in possession of illegal arms.This will be on the lines of Singapore laws for Capital punishment for drug smuggling.
Liquidation of a few dozen terrorits in this manner after trials in open courts will have a salutary effect.

The death penalty in "civilian" cases is ineffective in preventing
repetition of the crimes. This is the evidence, like it or not.
The death penalty in the military case is even more ineffective,
because it just creates "martyrs" and more and more people carry
out killings for revenge.
This is called a cycle of violence.
The only way that the death penalty in the military case can be
effective is in the case of total genocide, you would need to
kill *everybody*. Are you advocating genocide?
Who knows if the recent killings were not just an incident carried
out by Indian security forces (or secret services) in order to distract
attention from the fact that the Gujarat government, and by its
inaction, the Central government, are responsible for crimes against
humanity in Gujarat?
Can a government responsible for crimes against humanity by
considered trustworthy for defending Indian national security?

Till yesterday, prime minister was running for shade to escape from difficult questions asked by almost everybody on Gujarat genocide. Now thanks to the Kashmir, (every time they are on the mat, one jingoistinc issue will be taken up to distract and escape) and who knows it might be another drama enacted by security forces, atal is a peacemaker and visiting kashmir.
If one can notice the amount of noice raised by BJP after the Kashmir attack, one would easily understand that in this country, respect for life of muslims is not worth mentioning.
BJP will continue to get such escapes unless and untill, they are thrown out of power.
