| UK DEMANDS THAT PAKISTAN UNCONDITIONALLY SURRENDER TO INDIA By AFP 06/06/2002 At 12:48 The UK is demanding that Pakistan adopt a "no first use" nuclear policy. In the face of evident Indian aggression, such a policy is nothing less than unconditional surrender. For it is only the certainty of nuclear annihilation that keeps India from crossing the line and starting a war. We understand but will not tolerate Pakistan nuclear strategy: Britain - LONDON, June 06: The international community understands but "cannot tolerate" Pakistan's stance of not ruling out a first use of nuclear weapons in its dispute with Pakistan over Kashmir, British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said today. "We have to obtain an undertaking on both sides that they won't in any circumstances use the nuclear weapon first," Straw told BBC radio. "That already has happened in respect of India. It hasn't yet happened in respect of Pakistan." "We can comprehend it but we cannot tolerate it because a nuclear exchange is no way whatever to resolve this conflict," he said.
