"[WIDC] showcases work by the thriving community of female filmmakers from
around the world... This isn't mainstream work. Independent vision is the
key phrase here." - Chicago Sun-Times

"The Women in the Director's Chair Festival is one of the events
contributing to Chicago's reputation as a great art city." - Chicago Free
Press

"Screw all this irony-for-irony's-sake crap; copping an air of detached
hipness takes time - something Women in the Director's Chair simply do not
have. WIDC is a group of do-it-yourself ladies with a real message to push
who don't depend on anyone else to do it." - UR Chicago
