Abstract continues:
In the first part of the article, the historical development of economic class devisions is examined and the inadequacies of the Marxist class categories are assessed. In the second part, a new model of class divisions based on the unequal distribution of power in all its forms is developed, wheras in the final part an attempt is made to define the subject of emancipatory politics today.
