Two American troops have been killed in the Nakayee Village of Khost Province whilst attempting to forcefully search a house.

On Saturday evening, American troops were conducting house-to-house search operations in the villages of Khost Province, when two of them arrived at a particular house. There was only a veiled Muslim woman in the house, and no men present, so she refused permission for the Americans to enter.

Moments later, the two Americans barged into the house, but the woman was waiting for them with a loaded Kalashnikov assault rifle and she shot them both dead instantly, before fleeing the house and leaving the bodies of the two Americans where they were killed.

A few hours later, over 50 American troops arrived in Nakayee, demanding the villagers to hand over the woman, but the tribesmen refused and a stand-off is continuing.

Two American Vehicles Destroyed at Khost Airport

At approximately 3am early on Sunday morning, four missiles were fired at Khost's old airport. One of these missiles hit a parked American military vehicle located just outside the airport perimeter, which was instantly destroyed, together with another vehicle next to it. No loss of life was reported in this incident.

Similar attacks were also launched at Khost Airport on Friday morning, using rockets, small weapons and machine guns. According to a military spokesman, 107mm rockets were used in the attack, after which Coalition troops retaliated but were unable to harm the attackers.
