Islamic Millitants Gunned
down 2 in KASHMIR
In the second incident of its kind within a
week, unidentified militants gunned down a school teacher and his two sons last
night in Badgam district of central Kashmir, sparking massive protests today.

Police said a group of three militants on Wednesday night barged into the house
of Mohommad Shafi at Alamdar Colony, Gopalpora and segregated the male members
from females. Females were later locked in a separate room. After a few seconds,
militants switched off the lights and fired indiscriminately at the male
members. They received several bullets and were shifted to hospital where two
were declared brought dead, while another passed away during the night. 

Tension gripped the area soon after the news of the massacre spread. People
immediately rushed to the teacher’s home. Shopkeepers immediately pulled down
shutters and transport went off the roads.

The locals are shocked as they do not know why they were killed. "They were
the most gentle men in our locality. We never heard of their any distant
association with the militants,” one of them said.
