Your Excellencies,
I am writing to you regarding the recent trial and sentencing of eight Egyptians (Mr. Ameen Yousif Ali Hassan, Mr. Ali Mandoe AbdulMawali El-Seisi, and their six colleagues) for the crime of 'rejecting the Sunna' and adhering to the Quran only.
As a concerned Muslim who fears GOD and His last day, I am shocked that Egypt would sentence a man for simply saying: ‘my Lord is GOD!'.
In-fact, it is ironic and sad that the Quran relates to us a similar story which occurred in Egypt many centuries ago where a man was to be killed simply for believing in GOD Alone:
"A believing man among Pharaoh's people, who was concealing his belief, said, "How can you kill a man just for saying, `My Lord is GOD,' and he has shown you clear proofs from your Lord? If he is a liar, that is his problem, and if he is truthful, you will be afflicted by some of what he promises.
Surely, GOD does not guide any transgressor, liar." (Sura 40:28) [Maybe you should recognize that THE QURAN IS A LIE!]
In Islam, we are told by GOD and His messenger that 'absolute freedom of religion is allowed' (Suras 2:256, 4:90; 10:99; 18:29; 88:21-22). [What a lie! Islam has KILLED APOSTATES FOR CENTURIES!]
Yet Egypt claims to be a 'Muslim' nation and denies absolute freedom of religion?.
Also, what I find to be most alarming and distressful, is that Egypt recognizes the distorted teachings of Christianity which claim that GOD Had a son, and these beliefs are supported and protected by the government...while GOD and His messenger tells us that the heavens are about
to 'crack open' from this claim that He Has a son! (Sura 19:88-94). [So should Egypt follow the example of Saudi Arabia - the pillar of Islam - and formally BAN Christianity and Judaism too?]
As such, I urge your Excellencies to show reason and justice in this matter and immediately release all eight men while recognizing their freedom to worship GOD Alone.
