Sevabharathi Helps children participate in Republic day AP

The Child labourers all of them working in extreme conditions. It is estimated that on an average the Child labourers THE LITTLE HANDS THAT WORK are 1.35 crores in India and in AP which leads in this negative aspect, is 16.6 lakh. What do we do for, that shall draw a flak simple remark from any employer. But this issue is not without its roots in the economic polocies.

SEVABHARATHI has taken up the cause of the LITTLE HANDS THAT WORK and tendering them in to the melody of childhood. At the same time pressing up on the employers and convincing them, to employ, those more than 16 years old and fulfill their due in duty to the society.
The Officers from the state education department were much impressed when they were witnessing the wonders by the kids. On jan 4th they could see to them selves if a child labourer in 200 number could be trained in 4 months to chant sanskrit shlokas and perform cultural folk arts to the decent best. That was the time when we were invited to participate in the program of republic parade in Hyd before the Governor.

In the After noon of 25th it was 3:00 pm by the time the kids started off from the school in two vehicles rented for the purpose. The 21kids took break at Shad Nagar to inform the officers at Hyderabad also having a light refreshmant. We were in Hyderabad by 6;15 pm the vehicles reached BALBHAVAN the venue specified for our stay. The officer incharge Sri Radha Krishna DD -OS was kind enough to send ASD Sri Madhav reddy to the Balbhavan and enquired of the facilities inspite of their busy schedule.


The night we had Sri Murahari Rao of CEASE Child labou and Sri Chandra Sekhar of SEVA BHARATHI visit the children. The Kids were happy lot to know that in the Balbhavan, the children are taught in various subjects like MUSIC, dance, Paintings etc. Their Heart went off when they saw the flowers, Lawns and Sparawling Buildings of the area around Balbhavan early in the morning. The Sprawling tankbund made them inquisitive with all enquiries.

Sri Radha Krishna was there all the time with his superintendent and staff helping us o console the kids when only 12 of the 21 were selected to perform th Tableaux. The program went in full color, Ofcourse the kids were unable to control their anxiety and happiness despite the moving tableaux and unable to balance themselves.

The kids themselves were overwhelmed on seeing the Marching contingents in stiff saluting postures. The kids were asking me as to what we could do to be a soldier and salute in full dress.

After the parade the commissioner and director Sri Manmohan singh IAS was there waiting for the Children to share their exerience and joy. He interacted with the kids and inspired them showing the Bravery award winners, the President Sri Kalam as well as other dignitaries Shown on TV in his chambers. The Children were happy to have a photo session with him. He motivated them to study well till 10th and said one crore kids with 3 lakh teachers and 85,000 schools are toiling for the betterment of the child literacy.

The next program was at the NTR gardens fr the kids in Site seeing. The Children were flying in joy. They were literally butterflies in the garden sharing the colors of it.

All the program went off well and the kids cherish each and every moment with all the joy and this will remain the best nostalgia for their life time. The kids would thank the DEO sri Manmadha Reddy and sri Radha Krishna DD (OS) and their special love and thanks to their Commissioner Sri Manmohan singh. Thanks to all the staff and officers of the Education department as well as the others who worked backstage for the comfort of the Kids.
