ISRAEL'S MOSSAD BEHIND CAR BOMBINGS IN LEBANON.
According to Amir Oren, military correspondent for the Israeli daily {Ha'aretz}, Israel's foreign intelligence agency, the Mossad, is behind a series of car bomb assassinations in Lebanon.
Oren points out that current Mossad Chief Meir Dagan in 1981,
as a Colonel in the Israeli military,
was commander of the "South Lebanon Zone",
the strip of land in Lebanon, along Israel'snorthern border,
and as such, was responsible for organizing a
series of assassinations by using car bombs.
He was targetting
Palestinians leaders in Sidon and Tre, in Lebanon. It was always
the case that some "mysterious group" claimed responsibility.
Now, since becoming head of the Mossad, there has been a
series of car bombings in Lebanon that have killed Palestinians
and others where some "mysterious group" once again claims
responsibility. In 2002, upon taking command of the Mossad, Dagan
demanded a campaign against terror, "uncompromising and as soon as possible."
He claimed that Hezbollah were "Iranian proxys"
that maintained links with terror factions connected with
Al-Qaeda, like the Al Ansar Corps. Oren points out that just
last week a car bominb near Sidon, killed Muhamed Al-Masri,
commander of the Al-Ansar Corps and that a "new, mystery group"
claimed responsibility.
Oren writes, "Somehow, when Dagan's around, new and
mysterious groups pop up and objects blow up, killing Arabs who
aren't Israel-lovers." Oren then writes that Dagan gets his
orders from Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, not because he is prime
minister, but because he is Sharon. He then writes that back in
1981-82, Dagan was working "behind the sleeping back of then-prime minister Menachem Begin" with two others, then chief
of staff Rafael Eitan, and northern commander Gen. Avigdor
Ben-Gal, who both functioned as Sharon's cronies in conspiring to
launch the 1982 Lebanon War.
Oren suggests that the same pattern
is functioning now, but now Sharon is not "sleeping" as Begin was.

AT LEAST 15 KILLED IN SUICIDE BOMBING IN ISRAEL. A powerful
bomb targetting an Israeli bus killed at least 15 and wounded 40.
It is not clear whether or not it was a suicide attack. Hamas did
not claim responsibility. Israel announced it will retaliate.
This is the first suicide bombing in 2 months. It follows
the fact that Israel has killed no less than 76 Palestinians in
the month of February at a time when the there were no attacks
whatsoever in Israel proper. At least a third of these were women
and children, and most of the killings occurred in the Gaza Strip
where the Israeli military has been targetting Hamas.
