Cadbury chocolates remain delicious despite worms in it. The Zee news refused to carry news related to the worms in the Cadbury and consequently the very next day truckloads of Cadbury reached the office of Zee Telefilms Limited. These chocolates were distributed in the office to Zee staff members, informed sources revealed. The staff members wondered why worm-containing chocolates were being given to them.

This has happened in the backdrop of Cadbury coming under the scanner of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on the food products. “Cadbury is likely to come under investigation by the JPC. "The issue of presence of worms in Cadbury's chocolates has been brought to the notice of the JPC, and we may look into it since it relates to food safety," said Sharad Pawar, chairman, JPC.

Zee refusal to broadcast the news about alive and dead worms in chocolates deprived more than 225 million viewers about a very important information. It also shows the callousness of Zee towards the food safety of its viewers. Zee prides itself for its human-interest stories but this suppression of the facts is nothing short of inhuman.
