Sri Nihar Mukherjee, General Secretary of the SUCI, in course of a statement hailed the resurgent people of Iraq, who after having rebuffed the heinous attempt of the US imperialists to drive a wedge among them and smashing the encirclement by the US-led occupation force, came out in thousands throughout Iraq, braving all odds, to drive out the US-led invaders from the soil.

Sri Mukherjee strongly criticized the brutal atrocities perpetrated by the US-led occupation army to suppress the militant freedom struggle by the patriotic Iraqi people, extended his full support to the fighting Iraqi citizens, demanded immediate release of Saddam Hussian, and called upon the people of the world to firmly stand by the brave Iraqi people.

Sri Mukherjee also vehemently denounced the US government’s latest move to drag Indian troops to Iraq and severely criticized BJP-led central government’s odious failure to spurn it forthwith. He urged upon all the countrymen to remain vigilant about it.
