Like the European Union, India and Pakistan in coming years will form a South Asian Union. This theme was loud and clear in Karachi, Pakistan as the Indian and Pakistani Chambers Commerce met today. A call to remove all barriers to trade and economic cooperation between India and Pakistan was made at a meeting between visiting members of the Indian PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) in Karachi.

Riaz Ahmed Tata, president of the FPCCI, Ravi Wig, president of the PHD Chamber, and members from both sides called upon businessmen from India and Pakistan to join hands and get united to compel their governments to remove trade barriers.

The leader of the visiting delegation said: "Our strength lies in unity and if the businessmen of India and Pakistan get united, their governments would be obliged to give in.

"Businessmen are not less patriotic than any other section of society and they should take their future in their hands."

According to some international think tanks, India and Pakistan can even unite to form one country like it was before partition by the British. Some are saying - if Germany can unite to form one country why not India and Pakistan? What is really the difference between an Indian and Pakistani other than the religion if you are considering a Hindu, Christian or Sikh Indian!

Interestingly, the global trends point to political reformation into pre first/second world war state. The whole world is reconfiguring itself into what it was politically before the world wars. For example, Germany got united. Russians no longer control Ukrain and other countries that they took control of in twentieth century. Based on this theory people of India and Pakistan will soon decide to form one nation or a common Union
