In a survey conducted on the occasion of 60th year of Soviet victory over fascist Germany in the second world war, 50% of the people, mostly the young generation, spread over the provinces of Russia, expressed deep respect for Stalin and his leadership during those crucial days of anti-fascist struggle. They firmly believed that Stalin had played a very positive role in safeguarding the interest of the country, the then Soviet Union. According to these young Russians, Russia needs a leader like Stalin today to come out of the present condition of growing uncertainty and combat spiraling crime graph. Another survey shows that most of the people feel that Communism should return to Russia.
