I sat with a stranger as I ate breakfast this morning.
in conversation he mentioned a beautiful story that is small but news-worthy.
over the past week he has been getting rides from the same rickshaw driver and they have developed a friendship. through conversations about life, the harsh reality of a rickshaw man's life became apparant. they are charged 25 rs a day to rent a rickshaw. if they do not make that much in a day, they are lent the money but with a 20% charge.
So this stranger and his friends decided to pool their money together and buy their driver a rickshaw of his own. in doing so they have liberated the means of production and made a world of difference for one man and his family.
"Never forget that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. It's the only thing that ever has. "
